Here’s a variety of different objects you can sell including places to sell them.

Dive in!πŸ‘‡

Here are 10+ things to sell to make money fast:

1. Kids Clothes

Kids are growing humans.

They outgrow clothes and shoes.

My little guy is 7 and we have to buy new clothes about 4 times a year. He’s the size of a 10-year old by the way and he’ll be as tall as 6’5″ as an adult.

You probably have an abundance of outgrown kids clothes.

So what do you do with all those extra clothes?

Sell them!

Places to Sell Kids Clothes

Think auction sites and consignment stores in person or online.

  • Swap – Sell clothes for kids, baby, men and women here. I’ve gotten clothes from here too. They have some really awesome high quality pieces and even some brand new items you can snap up for a huge discount. ThredUp is an alternative, just like Swap.
  • OfferUp – This is a marketplace where people meet face to face to sell their stuff. Like if you have a neighbor selling their grill, you can find it on OfferUp and meet face to face to review the grill and buy it on the spot!Β
  • Tradesy – This is a really fun site that makes it fun to go shopping. You can sell kids clothes here. My mother-in-law bought a lot of 100 pieces of kids clothes for like $30. You get some really killer deals. When I joined last year to make some extra money selling used clothes I no longer wore, I got 6 sales in the first 2 weeks, without even trying!
  • Mercari – Another cool site that you can buy and sell kids clothes, along with electronics, handbags, and other stuff.

You can also check out sources like Ebay and Craiglist.

2. Electronics

I used to do this as a side hustle a few years ago. I sold used electronics.

It’s easy to do as a regular consumer.

Find electronics around the house that you can sell and sell online or in-person.

The in-person places are at kiosks like the EcoAtm.

You look up a location online (they are usually in Walmart and grocery stores) and then bring your device, get it scanned by the machine and they’ll make you an offer. If you accept, you get cash on the spot. The entire process takes about 10 minutes or so.

Then, you have these sites and apps that you can sell your electronics on:

Boom!

There are probably even more than this. Just do a search on Google and see what you find out. These sites are popping up left and right.

3. Books

Are you a college student?

Sell your college textbooks.

Even if you’re not, you can sell books around the house and make a profit!

Here are some places to review:

How much you can make depends on the book of course, but one seller made $750 from selling all his old textbooks and books.

4. Furniture

Sell furniture? What?

Yep and it’s easier than ever, today.

Garage sales or rummage sales are good.

You can also take advantage of the many neighborhood-type websites that can connect you with local buyers.

  • OfferUp – This site is great for shopping too. You can find some killer deals.
  • Facebook Groups – These are free. Get on your Facebook account, search for buy/sell groups or neighborhood groups by the name of your neighborhood, HOA, or subdivision.
  • Letgo – Just like OfferUp. I’m sure you have seen the catchy commercials on this one.

Check out thisΒ Blue Book for furniture to get a grasp on the potential value of your furniture.

5. Your Services

This is an easy one.

Do you have skills?

Try freelancing to make a few hundred or few thousand dollars extra each month.

  • Pick the clients you want to work with
  • Choose the jobs you wanna work
  • Create your own schedule
  • Work from home

There are a ton of perks to this.

How to Get Started?

First, decide on what services you will offer.

  • Copywriting
  • Digital marketing
  • Graphic design
  • Accounting
  • Bookkeeping
  • Virtual assistance

Then, search for jobs.

  • Upwork – Where I got my first freelance gig. Free to join.
  • Facebook groups – Join groups where your audience hangs out, like real estate broker groups if your customer are real estate agents, for example.
  • Freelancer – Another site just like Upwork. Find jobs you’re interested in, and pitch to get the job. I got around half a dozen jobs within a week of joining.

6. Gift Cards

Gift card flipping! It is a thing.

I actually took a course on Udemy where the creator made $3,000 per month flipping gift cards.

He’d buy them low (I’ll share where you can do this) and then sell them high.

For example, he’d buy a $20 gift card for $10 and sell it for $18. He makes an $8 profit and the buyer gets a $2 discount.

People actually do this for real money and some even full-time, like that guy I mentioned above.

Where to Buy Gift Cards at a Discount?

Think about it.

All those gift card gifts you get from your loved ones that you don’t use.

Like my sister who got a $25 gift card to Red Lobster but hates seafood.

She went right on GiftCardGranny and sold it!

And that’s how it works!

7. Antiques

Sell your antiques. Think vintage items or really aged pieces you own in good condition and sell em’ online.

8. Digital Products

I can tell you so many stories of entrepreneurs and non-entrepreneurs having five figure and six figure launches.

A recent story I read involved a regular joe working a 9 to 5 creating a course on what he did for a living.

He taught his skills in an online course through Teachable and made over $10K in a weekend!

Ideas on what to teach:

  • A language
  • A skill
  • How to do a profession
  • How to sell
  • How to make money
  • How to save money
  • How to organize
  • How to run a business
  • How to host Thanksgiving dinner for your family
  • How to start homeschooling your child
  • Life hacks

And these are just courses.

You can also sell ebooks, eguides, ecookbooks, printables, digital planners, digital organizers, digital calendars, and more.

Check out some of my courses to give you some inspiration.

9. Pictures of Your Feet

This is a strange one but kinda common, I have to say.

I saw a post on this last year on a woman making quite a bit of money selling feet photos.

Then, I saw a YouTube video on this same topic this week.

And then today, I posted about it in one of my Facebook groups and 2 people said they had been buyers!

Eek.

Where to sell? Ebay.

10. Plasma

My boyfriend (now husband) used to do this when we were struggling college students.

We weren’t to the point where we were gonna get evicted or cut services cut off or anything like that, but, we were living paycheck to paycheck.

So our entire paychecks went to our bills.

So donating plasma helped us have a little bit of wiggle room for date night, saving money, etc.

You can actually make $400/month doing this around 3 times per week.

11. Websites

Sell websites.

You can create one and sell it 3 days later for hundreds or thousands, no joke.

I have seen it and I have done it!

Learn how I flip websites and how you can do it too, making up to $2,500 per month.
